Thanksgiving five day weekend promises excellent box office
by Zivka Deleva

When you say the name J.K.Rowling and you combine it with a prolonged holiday week-end than, what do you got? Three, two, one... yes, don't hesitate to answer - you have a blockbuster Harry Potter sequel that's going to earn the biggest money on the box office. It's Thanksgiving Day today and Americans don't work for five days! I can only imagine what lines are there going to be in front of the U.S. theatres these days for "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 1". The David Yates movie, the seventh Harry Potter magic sequel is suppose to earn some 80 million dollars. By far, in the U.S. cinema repertoires the next-to-last sequel in the Warner Bros. saga has earned ama! zing 200 million dollars. Every serious production house in the States knows exactly when it should offer a new title to the moviegoers. Even small children know that the holidays are the best days for a new title to be launched. So "Disney" did the best thing - it premiered the 3-D animated fairy tale "Tangled" knowing how successful animated movies can be. A sum of about twice smaller than the Harry Potter prediction is the updated version of "Rapunzel" about to earn. What other movies are about to attract people to go to the cinema and not stay at home in front of the TV sets? I am sure that some other generation of movie fans are not going to miss "Burlesque" with music star Christina Aguilera and Cher and this musically based movie is suppose to gather about 20 million dollars for the five day week end. There are actions and thrillers as well for those that are not so soft-hearted.
