Leno is ready to become star-maker on new NBC show

Jay Leno announced his new prime-time show and said he believes he will became star-maker for young comedians. He is looking forward to being part of the show which will be a new beginning for comedians. Leno is shure that the show will suceed thanks to it absolutely new and revival approach to talk show with comedians. Viewers can watch “The Jay Leno Show” every weekend at 10 p.m. The show will present also many good taped pieces from comics like Liz Feldman, Mikey Day or Rachel Harris. Leno's aim is to discover talented comics and he hopes that thanks to his show they will become famous and get offered shows. He said that if one day he was replaced with the guy he had discovered he would be pleased. Leno highlighted that the show will include a diverse group of comics. There will be men and women as well, African-Americans including D.L. Hughley and many other minorities. He assured reporters that he did not want his show to be a bunch of white guys doing standup. It is completely new approach to showcasing comedians. Leno said that stand-up shows lost their attraction on talk shows. “The Jay Leno Shows” ought to be a new beginning for comedians. In his show Leno will do a monologue at the beginning to open the hour and other comedian will perform their shows. Leno refused to be more specific about the program. “The Jay Reno Show” starting Sept. 14 will debut with Jerry Seinfeld and Jay-Z, Rihanna and Kanye West will be there as a musical performance.
