Chris Cantell Discusses Entertainment: Berlin v New Yorku

Obyvatelia New Yorku mali vynimocnu moznost ochutnat nemecke hlavne mesto pocas 17 dni medzi 2. a 17. novembrom. Carnegie Hall predstavila prvy rocnik noveho projektu & festivalu nazvaneho Berlin vo svetle. Jednou z najvacsich atrakcii festivalu boli vystupenia Berlinskej filharmonie, ktora sa povazuje za svetovu spicku medzi orchestrami, pod taktovkou britskeho dirigenta Simona Rattlea. Originalnym predstavenim celeho festivalu bola kombinacia dvoch vystupeni & baletu 94 newyorskych deti, ktore tancovali svoj projekt nazvany "The Rite of the Spring" za doprovodu Stravinskeho "Le Sacre du Printemps" hraneho Berlinskou filharmoniou. Festival nehostoval len hudobne podujatia. Newyorcania mohli vidiet mnoho tvari berlinskej kultury, podla informacii uvedenych v kalendari podujati Carnegie Hall: "architektura, kinematografia, literatura, vytvarne umenie, politika a kabaret budu medzi mnohymi z aspektov festivalu" (http://www.playbillarts.com/features/article/7194.html). Medzi podujatia patrilo i vystupenie nemeckeho kabaretneho spevaka Maxa Raabea, koncert skupiny NomadSystem, vystavy a filmova projekcia.
