The new Apprentice by Claudia Sonea

After rumors spreading and no confirmation from anyone (because they all sworn secrecy) NBC finally made public the names of the cast members for the new season of Apprentice called Celebrity Apprentice. Some of the celebrities did not need any introduction like Omarosa (the first "Apprentice" season in 2004), Vincent Pastore (aka "Big Pussy" from "The Sopranos"), Stephen Baldwin and Gene Simmons of Kiss, but other do need a little bit of introduction: Nely Galan (former entertainment president of the Telemundo network and executive producer and "life coach" of "The Swan") and Marilu Henner, best-known from the sitcom "Taxi". There will be a total of 14 celebrities competing not for a job with Donald Trump, as in the previous six "Apprentice", but in business-oriented tasks around New York City to raise money for their favorite charities. Donald Trump, the executive producer-host, is still in the boardroom and the advisers will be once more Ivanka and Donald Trump Junior. The celebrities competing were chosen from a field of some 125 celebrity applicants and they met for the first time face to face in mid-October at a press conference, after which they had their first challenge. On January 3 the show will have its debut. The main reason for which these 14 celebrities were the lucky ones was that they all have experienced the business area, according to Trump. Other celebrities competing are Trace Adkins, Olympic gymnastics gold medalist Nadia Comaneci, Playboy Playmate of the Year Tiffany Fallon, Olympic softball gold medalist Jennie Finch, heavyweight boxing champ Lennox Lewis, "America's Got Talent" judge Piers Morgan and Ultimate Fighting Champion Tito Ortiz.
