by Sandra Stoklaskova

Do you like dancing? Especially, do you like hip-hop, techno and aerobics? If yes, great times for you. There is a dance which is a combination of these styles, known as Tecktonik, and is spreading to the world. Small dancing circles up the Parisian streets, in a scene from Notre Dame to Eiffel Tower, in 2001 were the beginning of revolutionary Tecktonik dance. This is a mixture of punk, hip-hop, house music, techno styles and rave. This innovative subculture with post-postmodern characters has only a few exact rules, which have to be followed by its members. This dance, was founded by ordinary people from the street, however is now becoming a leading position all around the world. Thanks to YouTube.com it is even more and more popular among the people, especially young working-class, across the globe. Glenda Lenga, a young model sayd: "We weren't getting enough out of the music, something was missing ! and I think Tck is growing because people feel like they are expressing more. It is evolving. We don't dance the same as a few years ago." Tecktonik, or Tck is not only about the music or dance, moreover it includes also clothing and way of life. It is kind of culture, which attract, catch and keep young people as quickly, that they even don't realize. Their style features with hair jelled into ducktails, tight jeans and colors of neon mixed with black and white. Tecknotik's centre is Paris; however it has also an address. Keeners of this style meet regularly every Saturday in Metropolis club, near to the Orly airport, where their shows are not shaking only clubbers, but also the building.
