And the Tomato goes toâ¦
by Zuzana Zelenakova
Not as prestigious as the Oscars, nonetheless annual Golden Tomato Awards are quite a juicy piece for movie addicts as they search through print, online and broadcast critics to find the film which got the best reviews in general. And what news did the 9th annual Golden Tomato Awards bring? Well, let's have a lookâ¦a Pixar animated rat and Irish singing romance basically swept away everything else. "Ratatouille" being a story of little rat whose biggest dream is to become a chef got almost to 100 percent on site's Tomatometer. And the movie "Once" was even more successful winning the best musical and best limited release category. Best Romance saw its winner in "Atonement" starring Keira Knightley and James McAvoy, while agent Bourne with face of Matt Damon came to dominate the action/adventure category with "The Bourne Ultimatum", last movie of the series. If you wonder about the science fiction/fantasy category, no surprise there..yeah, you guessed it right, "Harry Potter and the Order of Phoenix". Of course there are other good movies fit to win this category, breathtaking sci-fi "Sunshine" for example, but it seems Harry won the hearts of many. Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez can be proud parents, because their "baby" "Grindhouse" got the best horror flick. And finally, the least pleasing of the Golden Tomato Awards The Moldy Tomato went to comedy "Because I Said So" with Diane Keaton and Mandy Moore.
