Led Zeppelin's reunion
by Daniela Simkova
Led Zeppelin's concert at London's 02 Arena, firstly arranged on November 26, was postponed on December 10 because of the injury of guitarist Jimmy Page. Jimmy Page has broke his finger, which disables him to play the guitar. The specialist, who treated Jimmy Page made a statement, which said: "I have examined the fracture to Mr. Page's finger, and it is my opinion that with proper rest and treatment, he will be ready to resume rehearsing in three weeks time, and thus able to perform on December 10." Mr. Page expressed his regret for postponing the concert: "I am disappointed that we are forced to postpone the concert by two weeks. However, Led Zeppelin have always set very high standards for ourselves, and we feel that this postponement will enable my injury to properly heal, and permit us to perform at the level that both the band and our fans have always been accustomed to." Led Zeppelin consisted originally of four members: guitarist Jimmy Page, bass player John Paul Jones, singer Robert Plant and drummer John Bonham. After the death of the drummer John Bonham in 1980, the group split up and haven't reunion since. At today's reunion, Jason Bonham, the son of the famous drummer, will join Led Zeppelin at the concert at London's 02 Arena. This concert was set as a benefit concert dedicated to Mr. Ahmet Ertegun, who died last year in the age of 83. Mr. Ertegun was the one, who signed Led Zeppelin to Atlantic Records in 1969 as well as many other bands. After the reunion of Led Zeppelin said Mr. Page: "I must say that after our initial get-together it was so exhilarating and fun that I did feel I would like to do more." Mr. Page has been working on some new songs for past years, which lead him to share them with the rest of the group. He doesn't feel to leave it just for his own career. Can we then expect another concert of Led Zeppelin?
