Dead travels fast.
by Milota Sidorova

This is one of the first lines in original and famous book about the lord of the Vampires. Though it may sound bit morbid, it was a natural practice noted from the early age of human history. We know that bodily remains of saints and royals were moved several times and often symbolized the God's will or grace or the power of the royal line. Great Britain is now on the move, chasing possibly its oldest royal queen, so far. Her name was Eadgyth, princess from late 10th century, the half sister of King Athelstan, one of the rulers marrying his siblings to royal families over the Europe. Eadgyth was one of them – married and destined for Duke Otto of Saxony, a warlord's so! n who would eventually rise to become the first ruler of the Holy Roman Empire. The body was found in Magdeburg Cathedral, about 150 kilometers west of Berlin. Coffin proved to be moved twice and there are still hints of more relocations. This is the proof the body was somewhat important for royal family. The skeleton is now undergoing the isotope exams and by the ratio of Strontium, the researchers will be able to locate the geographical origins of a person. It the remains would belong to Eadgyth, it would be the earliest full body remains found and proved to be British, suggested Simon Keynes, a proffesor of Anglo-Saxon history at the University of Cambridge. Eadgyth's rivals now lie in Winchester Cathedral in Southern England, but the remains seem to be helplessly mixed so there is only a small chance to identify the whole person. The bulvar media took the information and compared Eadgyth to princess Diana. They both died very young, had two sons and were keen on to chari! ty work. However, it was obvious and normal to die before 40 y! ears in the Middle Age. The charity and the kids remained the only self-developing work for a woman of her era.The case and the final results should be finished before this summer.
