Cenite za plejerite "blu-rej" padnaa pod 100 dolari ovaa praznična sezona. Kako i da e, se čini deka potrošuvačite ne se sigurni da skoknat vo videoformatot na narednata generacija. Hollwood očakáva boom Blu-ray prehrávačov

Vo vianočnom období klesla v Spojených štátoch cena nového Blu-ray prehrávača pod sto dolárov. Napriek tomu sa zdá, že zákaznísi si nie sú istí, či chcú prejsť na video formát novej generácie, ako sa na píše na obaloch Blu-ray prehrávača. Aj ľudia, ktorý vlastnia Blu-ray prehrávač si naďalej kupujú filmy na DVD. Ľudia nechcú vymeniť DVD za Blu-ray prehrávače pretože takéto disky nie sú kompatibilné so štandardnými DVD prehrávačmi, ktoré sú v poč&#! 237;tačoch i autách. Hollywood sa snaží podporiť používanie Blu-ray vytváraním špeciálnych balení Blu-ray diskov spolu s verziou na bežnom DVD. Za minulý mesiac Hollywood vydal filmy Up a posledný príbeh Harryho Pottera. Takýto balíček stojí približne 20 dolárov, čo je približne polovica ceny, ktorú by kupujúci zaplatil ak by si kúpil DVD a Blu-ray disk zvlášť. Trh s domácim videom je pre filmové štúdia veľmi dôležitý, pretože predstavuje dôležitú súčasť profitov štúdií. Filmové štúdiá ako sú Hollywood či Universal pretláčajú používanie Blu-ray pre jeho čistý zvuk a obraz, ktorý si ľudia môžu užívať aj bez najkvalitnejšieho LCD t! elevízora. Napriek tomu sú však DVD prehrá! vač e výhodnejšie, pretože tieto prehrávače ako aj počítače, ktoré prehrávajú DVD, sa nachádzajú snáď všade. Navyše, dve tretiny z 92 miliónov amerických domácností, ktoré vlastnia DVD prehrávač, majú viac ako jeden. Pre porovnanie, Blu-ray prehrávač vlastní iba 12 miliónov domácností v Amerike. Trh s domácim videom trpí, pretože ľudia už majú doma preplnené kolekcie s DVD, a tak sa preorientovali na požičovňe, to však pre filmové štúdia nepredstavuje veľký zisk. Hollywood dúfa, že predaj Blu-ray diskov zvýši ich zisky. Produkcia diskov totiž nie je drahšia ako výroba normálneho DVD, avšak stojí o 10 dolárov viac ako DVD. Blu-ray musí však čeliť silným konkurent! om. Obchodníci hovoria, že praktická stránka a prenosnosť sú dnes dôležitejšie než kvalitný obraz či zvuk.

Hollywood expects boosts of Blu-ray

Prices for Blu-ray players dropped below $100 this holiday season. However, customers seem to not be sure about jumping into the next-generation video format. Even people with Blu-ray players are still buying DVDs. The reason why people do not switch to Blu-ray players is that its discs are not compatible with standard DVD players in cars and computers. Hollywood is trying to support the usage of Blu-ray by creating special packages with Blu-ray discs together with regular versions on DVDs. Over the past month Hollywood released films “Up,” “Harry Potter - Half-Blood Prince.” Such a combo pack cost about $20, which is about 50 percent less than w! hat one would pay if one buy it separately. The home video market is very crucial for film studios as it represents an important part of the studios' profit. Movie studios such as Hollywood or Universal are pushing Blu-ray for its clear sound and images even if you do not have the best flat-panel TV. But DVD players are still more convenient because such players and computer drives that read DVDs are everywhere. Moreover, two-thirds of 92 million U.S. households who own a DVD player have more than one. In comparison only about 12 million U.S. homes have Blue-ray players. Now the market is sagging because as people have stocked home collections, they have turned to rentals, but this is not very profitable for film studios. Hollywood hopes that the sell of Blu-ray discs will boost its profit. Produce of the discs does not cost more than normal DVDs but it is priced $10 more than DVDs. Blu-ray has to face many strong competitors. Shoppers say that utility and portabi! lity are now more important than the quality picture and sound! quality .

Svetot denes se soočuva so mnogu krizi i konflikti, bez razlika dali se povrzani so ekonomija, politika ili vojna. Vo vreminja koga lugjeto se voznemireni i zagriženi povekje od koga bilo, se čini deka Holivud obrnuva vnimanie na nivnoto raspoloženie i stana vistinska fabrika za soništa, pa im nudi slatko begstvo od realnosta. Samo poglednete vo početokot na decenijata, posle terorističkite napadi od 2001 godina, povekje golemi proekti kako "Hari Poter" i "Gospodar na prstenite" stignaa vo kinosalite. Zošto tie doživeaja takov uspeh? Pa, da se bide izguben vo svet kade problemite možat da se rešat so koristenje magija! , kade žitelite ne se obični lugje, ami ličnosti so specijalni, izvonredni veštini i možnosti, toa e možnost da gi zaboravime našite obični životi ispolneti so problemi i obvrski vo pogolemiot del od vremeto. Filmovite vo denešnicava se preplaveni so heroi od stripovite, kako Betmen, Spajdermen, stari prikazni kako "Indijana Dzons" i "Zvezdeni pateki" se vrakjaat vo život vo novo ruvo od 21 vek. Tie se polni so akcija, pogolemo razmisluvanje ne e neophodno koga gi gledate, no koj se griži za toa? Vistinata e deka toa e tokmu ona što treba za relaksacija. I da ne gi zaboravime vampirite. Se čini sega deka e vreme za niv da dojdat pod reflektor. Da, se razbira, mislam na prodolženijata na "Samrak". Koga posleden pat se slučilo tinejdzerkite da bidat zaneseni od nešto takvo? Možebi nazad vo denovite na slava na "Bekstrit bojs". Filmadziite go turkaat svetot na vizuelnite efekti kon drug! o nivo so rečisi sekoj nov film, kako što Piter Dzek! son napr avi so "Gospodar na prstenite" ili dolgoočekuvaniot "Avatar" na Dzejms Kameron. Isto taka i akterite se presozdavaat samite sebe si. Koj bi kažal deka nekogaš problematičniot Robert Dauni Dzunior kje se izdigne od svojata prašina kako mitskiot feniks? I, eve go, igra vo hitovi kako "Železniot čovek", "Tropska bura" i od neodamna vo "Šerlok Holms".

Hollywood escape from reality

The world today faces a lot of crisis and conflicts, whether they are related to economy, politics or war. In the times when people are troubled and worried more than ever Hollywood seems to adapt to their moods by becoming a true dream factory and offering a sweet escape from reality. Just look back to the beginning of the decade, after terrorist attacks in 2001 rather monstrous projects like Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings arrived to cinemas. Why have they been such a success? Well, becoming lost in a world, where problems can be solved by using magic, where inhabitants are no ordinary people, but individuals with special, extraordinary skills and abilities, is a chan! ce to forget our own ordinary lives filled with trouble and duties most of the time. Movies these days are flooded with comic book heroes like Batman, Spiderman, old stories like Indiana Jones and Star Trek are coming back to life in new 21th century clothing. They are full of action, extensive thinking is not required while watching them, but who cares? Truth is, that is exactly what one needs to relax. And let´s not forget about vampires. It seems now it is time for them to come to the spotlight. Yes, I am referring to the Twilight series of course. When was the last time teenage girls were swept away by something to such an extent? Maybe, back in the Backstreet Boys glory days. Movie makers are pushing the world of visual effects to another level with almost every new movie, like Peter Jackson did with Lord of the Rings or Long time expected Avatar by James Cameron. Also actors are reinventing themselves. Who would say that once troubled existence of Robert Downey J! r. will rise from its own ashes like a mythical phoenix? And y! et, here he is starring hits like Iron Man, Tropic Thunder, and most recently Sherlock Holmes.

Dnešný svet musí čeliť množstvu kríz a konfliktov, či už ide o tie ekonomické, vojnové, alebo politické. Zdá sa, že v časoch keď majú ľudia viac starostí než obyčajne sa Hollywood prispôsobuje ich náladám, stáva sa z neho skutočná továreň na sny ponúkajúca útek od reality. Len si spomeňte na obdobie na začiatky tohto desaťročia, po teroristických útokoch z 11. septembra 2001 do kín dorazili gigantické projekty ako Pán Prsteňov či Harry Potter. A prečo mali ! taký obrovský úspech? Nuž, stratiť sa v svete, kde problémy sa dajú riešiť s pomocou mágie, kde obyvateľmi nie sú obyčajní ľudia, ale jedinci so zvláštnymi schopnosťami, je šanca ako aspoň na pár hodín zabudnúť na naše vlastné životy, ktoré sú zväčša naplnené starosťami a povinnosťami. Filmový priemysel zaplavili hrdinovia z komiksov ako Batman, Spiderman, staršie príbehy ako napríklad Indiana Jones či Star Trek dostali nový šat zodpovedajúci 21. storočiu. Sú plné akcie, vaše mozgové závity sa pri nich veľmi neunavia, ale čo na tom záleží? Pravdou je, že presne to potrebujeme, aby sme si oddýchli. Nesmieme zabudnúť ani na upírov. Zdá sa, že teraz je čas kedy vyliezaj! 50; zo svojich truhiel do svetiel reflektorov. Jasné, ! 82;e re& #269; je o Súmraku. Kedy naposledy boli mladé dievčatá niečím takto unesené a pobláznené? Možno len v časoch, keď Backstreet Boys zažívali dni svojej najväčšej slávy. Filmový tvorcovia posúvajú svet vizuálnych efektov do ďalšej úrovne prakticky s každým novým filmom, ako sa to podarilo Peterovi Jacksonovi s Pánom prsteňov a Jamesovi Camronovi s jeho dlho očakávaným Avatarom. Takisto herci sa posúvajú. Kto by to povedal, že zlý chlapec Hollywoodu Robert Downey Jr. povstane zo svojho vlastného popola ako bájny fénix? A predsa, je tu v plnej sile s filmami ako Iron Man, Tropic Thunder a najnovší Sherlock Holmes.

"Komkast" isto taka ja prezede kontrolata i nad prenesuvačkata mreža na NBC, vklučuvajkji gi WTVJ-NBC 6 i "Telemundo", formirana vo Hajalija. Kompanijata kje dobie udel od 50 procenti vo tematskite parkovi na Juniverzal Orlando. Iako NBC e edna od najstarite televizii vo Amerika, dostapna e vo proceneti 120 milioni domakjinstva, nejzinite biznis i marketing strategija ne se pokažaa uspešni minatite godini. Káblová spoločnosť Comcast odkupuje televíziu NBC.

After months of enchanted negotiations one has become clear – Philadelphia based cable provider Comcast is about to buy 51 percent stake at NBC Universal. After government approval the price totals $13.75 billion. Comcast also took control over NBC broadcast network including WTVJ-NBC 6 and Hialeah-based Telemundo. The company gets 50 percent stake in Universal Orlando theme parks. Although NBC is one of the oldest TV in America being available in estimated 120 million households, its business and marketing strategy didn’t prove to be successful last years. Comcast bought 51 percent stake after Vivendi sold its 20 percent in the company. Untill now Vivendi has! been the majority stakeholder at NBC. The deal as obviously has significant consequences – Comcast will become a great monopoly, a tough game player. For so long it has been competing with strong rivals among internet cable and satellite providers. Now customer fears with taking total control over TV content and distribution will end up with increasing fees and less quality product. The deal and the future holding is an object for an Anti-trust investigation, however Comcast has already declared it was willing to take some regulations. There have been voices from the Congress to keep the content at the high level. Other cable network providers fear Comcast, owning Universal movie studio will prefer its TV channels showing their movies sooner than anywhere else. But this is only one from the list of objections. Comcast has a will and the power to deal with the rivals immediately over TV and radio fees. Small and medium sized providers will be kicked out of the game.! And with such power it could control the channels it was broa! dcasting . Public could have seen significant changes in the near future. The deal was announced December 3rd and should take effect within the year.
