Pixar bol založený roku 1986 na severe Kalifornie a bol pionierom v digitálnej počítačovej animácii. Štyri filmy z produkcie Pixaru boli ocenené oscarom, odkedy bola v roku 2001 uvedená kategória animovaných fimov.
