NEW YORK, August 1 - People magazine and a British tabloid – Hello! both share rights to publish photos of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's newborn twin. Exclusive photos of Vivienne Marcheline and Knox Leon twins are considered to be the most expensive celebrity pictures ever sold. The negotiating price of pictures of newborn twin babies reached the value of $14 million, which is, for instance, more than double People magazine paid for pictures of Jennifer Lopez' twins. The final bill will be probably devided between both of the tabloid magazines - People and London-based Hello!. The money will go to a foundation - Jolie-Pitt Foundation, established by both parents that year, that focuses on helping children around the world. Jolie and Pitt themselves, donated great amount of money to support different helping programs, for example the International Rescue Committee's relief program for Darfur refugees or The Education Partnership for Children of Conflict that helps children affected by the war in Iraq, etc.
It is the third time a famous couple have worked with the two magazines alternatively a great donation to charity.
A cover with pictures of Jolie's and Pitt's babies hit newsstands on Monday this week. When People published photos of a couple and baby Shiloh two years ago, the issue moved 2.2 million copies. Also, the last year, the famous couple sold their private pictures of their son Pax, to british Hello! and People magazine. Jolie and Pitt chose Getty Images as the photographer once again in that deal. The company was involved, for instance, in the Shiloh deal for the first time. Getty co-founder and CEO Jonathan Klein said in the statement that his company was "delighted that all proceeds from these stunning images will once again be donated entirely to charity."
