The hottest Hollywood issue is nowadays a strike. However, this word doesn't play a role in any of Hollywood shows or movies. The matter is a real strike initiated by the Writers Guild of America. Initially not very crucial viewed case has grown up. Today it is menacing further more people and situations as was predicted at the beginning.Cancellation of the Golden Globes was just the first step.Endangered are almost all the awards that take place mostly in January and February. The first of them planned is the Screen Actor Guild's (ASG ) Awards on Jan, 26th . Although its organizers don't foretell adverse ratings, the ceremony will be marked with question mark by any means. A month later the Spirit Awards are scheduled, followed by the Academy Awards (Oscar) the next day. And the most apparent problems exactly these two broadcasts are.As the Oscar is still an insecure event due to the possible postponing of the ceremony, the Spirits resist the voices claiming that no celebrities will come just for this award. The importance of the entire "award thing" doesn't sit only in presence of the Hollywood stars. The consequences could reach much further. The strike will have influence on the public, Hollywood ceremonies can possibly become uninteresting and flat actions whose main aim is to attract masses in front of television. Eventual danger is their reduction to common TV programs as well as decreasing prestige of them. That is the highest value they have been able to reach so far. Another negative aspect is the financial factor. Simple maths shows this clearly: no viewers means no money from commercials. More than two-month lasting strike with the major demand to change the contact between the writers and their employers, TV companies, has amended the Hollywood's face a lot. Not just the production and every-day work of TV studios is actually stopped. Both parties should find a solution in favour to keep Hollywood's prestige.
