Iraqi TV show as a positive start of a day
by Daniela Simkova
In the country brought on its knees by a war is a TV studio Al-Sumaria. Studio takes place in Baghdad. There was created the popular Iraqi TV show, where three female presenters talk about various events that happened and are having a great chat with the viewers of the program. "Naharkum Succar," or "Your Day is Sweet" is the morning show very similar to our morning shows know all around the world. There are though some exceptions. The program starts with a review of the newspapers, but the focus is only on the good news, no violence. Then it continues with the questioning the guest, that is usually a national celebrity. The presenters have a little chat with a guest and then the focus drops on the viewers. The viewers start to call and there is a little conversation between the viewer, the guest and the presenters. There is a lot of interesting segments of the show, that keep the viewer in front of the TV. For instance a horoscope segment, which provides hints for a future love life or some other as new diet hints. "It is an independent program directed at all members of the family, and we have an optimistic nature. Of course we avoid politics and religion. We make life in the middle of death. It is natural to us," say the presenters.
