New films vs. films seen before
by Dominika Nagyova

These times the film industry is producing many pictures that can capture both film critics and public, entertain them and let them think about the story. First of all, there is a thriller about sociopath Anton Chicurh "No Country for Old Man" and picture "There Will Be Blood", which are highly appreciating by Film critics. Another one is called "The Great Debaters" supported by Oprah Winfrey's affection that can keep this picture on public. Also "Charlie Wilson's War" can be interesting for public because of famous movie stars like Tom Hanks and Julia Roberts. Unfortunately, those movies are not as original as movies made before. For an example, "The Great Debaters" based on true story show us a Professor Melvin Tolson (Denzel Washigton) trying to made a debate team from underdog students. He is criticized for his unusual teaching methods and political opinions. It can be compared with "The Dangerous Minds" from 1995, where a teacher of literature performed by Michelle Pfeifer get a class of bad students. She prepares themselves for life after school and helps them with leaving exams. This is only one example about friendship between teacher and students and about teacher's hard work to unit teenagers of the same social class. To sum up, nowadays pictures are full of emotions, blood, digital tricks and illusions, but the stories are not changing and we can watch movie about the same like 50 years before.
