In the first round of finals Fox singing contest “American Idol” run a night of Rolling Stone tunes. The Tuesday night brought many surprising. The judged dismissed attempt of Tim Urban who decided for create his own reggae rendition of “Under My Thumb.” Judge Randy Jackson called the Urban's version “weird,” and for Simon Cowell it was a completely “crazy decision.” But the 20-year-old student disagreed and it seemed that he really liked the remake and was absolutely satisfied. Associated Press called Siobhan “glass blower wailing into the microphone.” Jackson said the Magnus' singing was “hot,” and Cowell called it the “standout performance of the night.” Kara DioGuardi likened Magnus to last season's runner-up Adam Lambert. The panel was pleasantly surprised by some of the respectable renditions of Stones songs. The judges liked 17-year-old high school student Katie Stevens and her performance of "Wild Horses," 23-year-old waitress Didi Benami singing "Play With Fire," and 16-year-old high school student Aaron Kelly with "Angie."
