60-year old O.J. Simpson is charged with robbery by Corina Ciubotaru

O.J. Simpson is in trouble again. This time, he has been accused of six felonies: two counts of robbery with use of a deadly weapon, conspiracy to commit robbery, burglary with a deadly weapon, two counts of assault with a deadly weapon and coercion. Apparently, he and some accomplices broke into a hotel room in Las Vegas and stole some O.J. memorabilia from a former agent called Alfred Beardsley, who subsequently dropped the charges against the former NFL star. Apparently, nobody got hurt during the crime, even though firearms that were used have been recovered by the police. Simpson claims that the goods were originally stolen from him and that there were no guns used during the event; he had found the victims through an auction house owner who informed him of their presence in the hotel. If he is found guilty, the 60-year old football star faces up to 35 years in jail for each of the "robbery with use of a deadly weapon" counts. He wasn't convicted during his most famous trial in 1997, when he was accused of killing his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ron Goldman, but he now owes the Goldman family $38 million as a result of the civil trial that followed. The Goldmans have also been given the rights to publish a book written by O.J. Simpson called "If I Did It: Confessions of the Killer", which went to number one on Amazon this Sunday. They are currently touring the country with this book, claiming it to be a confession.
